The Heather Snow Clark School of Acting proudly presents the Acting in Daytime Television Workshop, led by 3-time Emmy Award winner Alan P. Needleman. This 4-hour workshop offers students the opportunity to experience the life of a daytime television actor; from blocking (learning choreographed movements) through the filming of a scene. Skills emphasized are character development, believability and overall effectiveness of a scene. Each student’s performance will be video taped with feedback provided by Alan. About Alan P. Needleman:
Mr. Needleman is a veteran of daytime dramas and a Directors Guild of America Member. This 3-time Emmy Award winner and 8-time Director’s Guild of America winner started at ABC in 1975 as a studio supervisor. From 1992-2011, he served as the Head Stage Manager for ABC’s “One Life to Live”. On “One Life to Live,” he was responsible for the cueing of talent, as well as staging of supporting cast members for background purposes. He also served as the direct liaison between director and talent; conveying performance notes to the cast.
